Sean Dyche: West Ham deserved penalty - referees missing blatant calls
Fair play to him, makes some very good points about play acting getting rewards and why are Referees letting players get away with it?

Well said
Will anything come of it? Of course not

Diangana wasn’t booked, it was Anderson as the play went on and he took out a defender.

Can’t wait for VAR to be introduced.

Re: Sean Dyche: West Ham deserved penalty - referees missing blatant calls
We should have had a penalty against Spurs, and VAR WAS in use, but the ref chose not to use it. It seems to happen to us every fucking game with big decisions.

Don't worry though, it all evens out, apparently.

Sinca Lanzini and that Everton player got suspensions for simulation to win pens it seems to be just to set an example and now it's gone out of fashion and forgotten about ..

Just bring in VAR should have been in this season

Totally agree with him.

Reckon VAR will be worth about 10 points a season to us.
As said it should have been in this season.

Re: Sean Dyche: West Ham deserved penalty - referees missing blatant calls
It's pointless leaving the VAR decision to the idiot referees. Why don't they operate a system similar to tennis where each captain has 3 VAR requests in each 45 Minutes?

I like Dyche. Yes he has a moan on the touchline and was clearly hopping mad about the "foul that wasn't" but when he takes a look at things later I see he changes his mind once he sees he is wrong. Pity Referees don't do the same.

Good to see this.

I was annoyed to see Dyche complaining about Diop's "foul" in the build-up to one of our goals, when Diop simply stepped away from a player backing into him, but maybe he didn't see it properly and genuinely thought it was a foul.

Re: Sean Dyche: West Ham deserved penalty - referees missing blatant calls
He may sound like he gargles gravel, but he is spot on.

Players like Zaha win penalties all the time by touching their foot against the defender’s leg and going down like they’ve been shot. Diangana gets fouled and goes down normally and the prick gives nothing.

Fair play to him. Too many managers only pipe up when they’re the aggrieved party and are only too happy when it goes their way.

some mangers do say if its a definate penalty for the other side win or lose but only some

Re: Sean Dyche: West Ham deserved penalty - referees missing blatant calls
I can’t recall another manager ever saying the other team deserved a penalty they didn’t get.
And if it did happen I am guessing it’s when they won and don’t really care.

Re: Sean Dyche: West Ham deserved penalty - referees missing blatant calls
The standard of refereeing in this country is abysmal. I was astounded that we weren't given a penalty in the Spurs game for the foul on Antonio and even more so that VAR wasn't called upon. It had me questioning whether their was bias involved

Did he mention the killer tackle on Diangana ...Definite Red...Excessive Violence...completely upended him...
Nothing given...

Yes ref played advantage...we scored...but should have retro carded RED...

Maybe I'm a cynic, but it's a bit easier to point out the opposition should have had a penalty when you lost anyway, isn't it?

Re: Sean Dyche: West Ham deserved penalty - referees missing blatant calls
Can't believe people actually wanted this bloke to be manager. But go back one year and plenty did.

last year they scored 36 goals in 38 games, less than a goal a game - but they were 'solid'. It's a horrible brand of football he promotes and I genuinely hope they go down.

Re: Sean Dyche: West Ham deserved penalty - referees missing blatant calls
Their tactics were pretty clear ... foul, put their foot in, be physical and hope we bottle it and they nick the win.

With those tactics Dyche will never get a "big" job

Re: Sean Dyche: West Ham deserved penalty - referees missing blatant calls
Good to see Liverpool get a goal ruled out with Mane off side then running in and scoring,(second phase) what does that really mean? why not do the same when the same happened with us? And Wolves get a 1m onside chalked off?? Those Spurs sure do seem to get the rub of the green!!!!
